THE DOCTORS SURGERIES TODAY 2020

There is something amiss at our Doctors surgeries as we enter the Third Decade of the 21st Century.
Doctors are overworked and cannot cope with the number of patients which they have on their books.
Demand from patients exceeds the supply of Doctors. Many surgeries have to cope with 7,000 people with every aches and pains imaginable and more Patients are in the Elderly group with lots of illnesses. There is a major gap in the NHS service and at  Doctors Surgeries level.
My previous article - Future Strategy of the NHS - suggests some solutions.
So, what is happening at a typical Doctors surgery today ?

My surgery lists quite a number of Doctors serving the Practise. However, many of them are Part Timers. Some leave the Practise to have children.
The Receptionists at the Practise cannot give you an appointment until they know, what days a Doctor is coming on duty.
So, they say, telephone at 8am tomorrow and we will see what appointments we have available.
The next morning at 8am, you telephone the surgery.
The automated telephone system then says.........
“ You are number 10 in the queue.”
How can that be ?

When you eventually speak to a human, you may be lucky to get an appointment. But, it may not be a Doctor you know.
Some time ago, the Government decreed that all patients will in future have a dedicated Doctor. I was given one but I saw the Doctor once. Every other time, I saw a range of different Doctors.
If you try to get an appointment some other time you are looking at at least 3 weeks.
So, as far as the surgery is concerned, you can suffer another 3 weeks and if you are referred to the local hospital, you can wait another 3 months. To be fair, if the Patient has say suspect Skin Cancer, you will get an appointment in 2 weeks.

Then, there is a very irritating action. The Receptionist tries to triage you....Please explain your problem ? Oh, I will get the Doctor to telephone you this afternoon. You ask...When ?
Reply....Any time ? Normally the Doctor will telephone you after 4.40pm so why cannot you be told...He will telephone you after 5pm. No waiting an afternoon for a call. Many older people do not have Mobile phones or computers.
What Doctor you ask ? I do not know at the moment is the reply.

Many of the illnesses can be diagnosed by a good Doctor within 5 minutes. Surely if a patient has suffered for example, with a blocked nose, and the patient who had suffered over the Christmas period, should be able to be seen by a Doctor before the situation gets worse.
Another example of the overburdened Doctors today, is when the Receptionists say “ Is it an emergency ?”
This is a technique for putting patients off wanting a quick and early appointment. How do they know if it is an emergency?  I am talking about medium level illnesses. It is not the job of the Receptionist to ask the Patient if it is an emergency.
If you say No it is not an emergency, they will offer you an appointment in 3 weeks time. Then, the Doctor might have to refer you to a hospital....another wait in most cases.

It is interesting to observe the attitude of some Doctors.
Most have a caring approach, appear kind and professional.
Others look at you as if you were a number on an NHS form.
Please can we have some nice smiles now and again.I have noticed that it is the younger Doctors who have the right attitude. The older ones look worn out and cannot bother to smile anymore. Time to retire ?

There are too many mistakes being made on prescriptions.
Doctors fail to cross check what is ordered leaving patients short of vital medicines. The Pharmacist then gets the blame. Recently, it has happened to me. Tablets have not been sent. Prescriptions have been lost. Medicines have been sen to the wrong Pharmacy.

There is room for improvements in the non hospital check ups.
If you telephone the 111 service, you will be dealt with by a person reading from a script. You will be asked many questions and after sometime, you might be told, go to Minor injuries at your local hospital. You have waisted valuable time.
So, you go to Minor Injuries and spend the next 4 hours in the waiting room. This appears to be an acceptable time by the NHS standards. It is not my standard of patient service.

Is all this poor service due to lack of money ?
To a certain extent, the answer is Yes.
However, I am convinced that there is room for improvement at our local Doctors surgeries.
Some areas that need investigation are -

1- We need more full time Doctors and Nurses.
2- Better Administration procedures.
3- Dedicated Doctors as announced by the Government.
4- Use of FaceTime video contact between Doctor and Patient.
5- Less triaging by Surgery Receptionists. More Patient oriented rather than Doctor orientation.
6- More specialist equipment for on the spot diagnostic usage.
In my surgery, only one Doctor is qualified to use Nitrous Oxide for a patient with sun damage.
7- Computer systems are old and slow.
8- More involvement of Pharmacists in early response treatment for many illnesses.
9-Penalties for non attendances at Appointments.
10- More Trainee Nurses to attend part time at Surgeries to deal with mundane minor duties - for example Blood Tests, Temperatures, Minor injuries needing dressings, Blood Pressure where no machine exists and so on. Trainee Nurses at University normally would welcome to participate with on the job experience.

I suggest an Internal Research Scale from 1 to 10 ......10 being Very Good and 1 being Very Bad.
However, there is room for improvement in patient care in the third decade of the 21st Century.

We cannot blame our dedicated Doctors and Nurses.

Doctors Surgeries procedures need an overhaul. Service levels seem to be on the decline.

But, who can do this ?  Can the Practise Manager take on this task ?
Can a Practise Panel be established ?

Someone must do the review. Or, just ignore the problems.

Whilst in Miami she meets an English businessman and they full in love. However, when the businessman returns to London, they lose contact. Ria is concentrating on her career in Miami and the businessman on his fading investments on the London Stock Exchange.
Ria’s career continues to blossom. She in invited to star at the World famous Bougainville Club in Paris. She becomes a great success.Success bring for her a suite at Le George V Hotel on the Champs Elysee Paris.
The Businessman is visiting Paris when he goes to a famous Jazz Club on the left bank. Whilst there, he hears that the talk of the town is a Cuban girl named Ria Conchita, starring at Le Bourgainville Club Paris.
The next evening, he visits the Bougainville Club and watches as Ria sings and dances. Their eyes meet. After her cabaret act, Ria visits the table of her long lost lover.
They agree to meet at the Pont Neuf bridge the next day.
In the meantime, back in her hotel, Ria hears the sad news that her Father had died in Puerto Logo. She is distraught.
However, she still goes to Pont Neuf as agreed the next day.
The businessman is held up on traffic. At the last moment Ria sees him in the distance. They meet up and they pledge never to lose contact again. Their love is still alive.
Ria returns home for the funeral of her Father.
A few months later, Ria meets up with her lover in London.
He has had a bad time losing heavily on the stock market but now, things were looking up.
They decide to get married. The wedding is fixed for Puerto Logo. It is a dazzling affair.
The Finale is very vibrant with Cuban dancers, dazzling costumes, Lido style feathers, repeat of many songs in the show. Rumba music and dance routines.
A very happy Finale leaving the audience with the feel good factor.

CLIMATE CHANGE

CLIMATE CHANGE CAUSES

Here is one more theory about Climate Change for you to think about.

Facts first 

1- The Polar Ice Caps are melting and causing sea levels to rise putting millions of people at risk

2 - Most of the scientific world says that it is Carbon Dioxide gasses that are causing World temperatures to rise. It is the fault of Mankind.

3 - Climate change is the biggest threat to The Earth ever.

New Possible Causes of climate change

1 - The Earth has had Ice Periods and Hot Periods on average every 10,000 years.

2 - At one time in the past, the United Kingdon had a tropical climate. Evidence of this has been traced, for example, in the Vale of Oxford. Tropical plant deposits have been found there.

3 - In the distant past, Earth has had Ice Ages as well.  Glaciated ladscapes are evidence of this today.

New Theory 

The main cause of Climate Change is due to the Earth changing orbit in relation to the Sun.
This causes the Polar Ice Caps to melt. So, the Earth is in Stage One of a new Hot Age - which Mankind cannot prevent. In the past, the change in Orbit of Earth with the Sun has caused frequent periods of Hot and Cold climates.
This change in the position of the Earth in realtion  to the Sun means more Solar Radiation and Sun Flares reaching the Earth.

Cabon Dioxide fumes created by Mankind do not help and contributes to the acceleration of the new Hot Age - but in a very small way. It is the Mechansim of the Universe and the Solar Galaxy that is the main cause of the Climate Changes that we are experiencing today.

Future Action

 Scientits must pay more attention to the rotational position of Earth in relation to any rotational changes in the orbit of the Sun. Solar Heat reaching Earth nedds to be closely monitored. This can be monitored by NASA and other World Space Agencies.

Conclusion

If the Climate of Earth has changed before when there werer no cars, no aeroplanes, no ships, No Human activities - perhaps we are at the beginning of a new 10,000 years Sun Cycle of a Hot Climate which is happening again. Manking cannot stop Climate Change.

Ask yourself this question .....What were the causes of the 10,000 years cycles of Cold and Hot Climates in the past of Earth ?

Can the Scientists disprove this Theory of Sun / Earth relationship as the cause today of Climate Change ?

THE IRISH BORDER

IRISH BORDER SOLUTION - THE EUREKYS SOLUTION

Cars travelling from North to South and South to North face NO border controls as NOW at the border between North and Southern Ireland.

Lorries travelling into the EU South will have  to register their paperwork in advance and checked 5  or more miles into EIRE /EU. This can be done in advance by Internet Government website.

Lorries travelling from South to North face no controls.

The EU gain VAT taxes and Tariffs.
The UK forgo VAT taxes and Tarrifs
Livestock checks as at present.

The Theresa  May EU agreement less the Backstop will pass Parliament..

I hope that the “ Penny has dropped “ for most sensible, decent people of all Parties in the UK.
After more than 3 years of debate,the truth is as follows -

Parliament MPs are in the majority who never wanted the UK to leave the EU.

The 17 Millions plus Voters who voted to leave the EU won the Referendum.

In Parliament, Opposition Parties want Power and they will look for any way to discredit our Government.

The Opposition have criticised The Conservatives with insults,Not fit for purpose, liers , fraudsters and the Prime Minister May and Prime Minister Johnson should resign. Poor Thesesa Was forced to resign but why should Prime Minister Johnson resign ?
Because The Opposition want to be in Power.

All the blame for no Brexit after 3 years is mainly because the EU will not compromise. Their attitude seems to be - We do not care if Britain is in turmoil. We will not budge from our position.
After 3 years, there is no Trade Deal. Why ? Because the EU forced Theresa May to agree the Withdrawal Agreement first.
Impasse. Disgusting.

To be fair, neither will the British Parliament compromise.

I voted to leave the EU because I did not want the UK to be part of a Federal Europe, and unrestricted immigration.
Now, we need to complete that Irish Border Problem.
But, how?

We have a massive Civil Service full of “ brains “ and a highly paid team of Ministers, 650 MPs, The Press,TV Programmes like Newsnight. Question Time, Forums all over the Country and guess what ?
They cannot agree a solution for Brexit.
To be fair, MP like Steve Baker, Wycombe has proposed many logical solutions. So has many other MPs.
Are they falling on stony ground ?

It is crazy, that no agreement can be reached.
My view now is......The EU will not budge.

I hope sincerely that I wrong.

The eve of the 3rd Decade in the 21st Century

The view of one British Citizen

Honestly, I do not know who to blame for the chaos and lack of unity In Britain Today.
Is it Social Media ? Is it Television ? Is it violent Games ?
Is it our Politicians ?

I am still so grateful that I was born in Britain. I am Welsh but first and foremost, I am British.
I admire and like very much Scotland, Ireland, England and our Continental friends. They are all part of my Family.
I want my children and grandchildren to live the rest of their lives in peace and harmony with our fellow Europeans.
I grew up during the WW2. What a waste of lives.
In Foreign Policy, have we learnt the lesson not to rush into War ? Remember the false information about Iraq ?

But, why oh why are we so divided as a Nation ?

Is it Brexit ? The Treaty of Rome 1957 has turned into a massive EU Political structure which in essence is a Federal system of Government. I think that this is one big cause of disunity today. The British citizens voted in the 1975 Referendum to join a trading relationship with the EU.
No one asked the public if we wanted closer integration with the EU. The subsequent Treaties with the EU that followed have been imposed on us. The Referendum 2016 has caused endless disunity.
Was it worth it ? I do not think we will ever agree on this !

However, we seem to have become an irritable, nit picking Nation.
Angry about everything and everyone.
There is unrest everywhere in our lovely country.
Scotland want independence. Parts of Northern Ireland want to remain part of Britain. Others want to be part of Eire.
Even among Religions, there is a growing trend of disagreement. We are all Human beings and we are so lucky to live on Planet Earth which we must protect.

However, on the bright side, there are still millions of people who are kind, polite, decent and thoughtful.
We still have a growing band of Volunteers. We have the NHS. We have great Universities and Schools. We have an amazing Queen . A great example of Public Service. I saw on television her Coronation in 1953. She pledged her devotion to her realm and she has kept 100% to her word.What a great example to all of us.

What we do have is a Parliament who are more interested in Power Politics, Destructive debate
and selfish objectives. Not all of them but most of them.
The great Brexit Debate has illustrated this.

On Television, I have noticed a growing trend to twist the truth and bias the questioning of guests on TV in such Programmes as Newsnight and Question Time.
I have seen presenters twist the truth, search for traps to question the veracity of programme guests.They are looking for the next sensational story. It is the same with the Press.
Donald Trump invented “ Fake News. “
I agree with him. Many articles in the Media are just wrong with the facts.

We ordinary Citizens need to be more alert to recognise what is true and what is false. A very difficult task in the World today. The Age of the Internet has brought great benefits but at the same time Social Media has brought many problems. Our children and Grandchildren need to be alert to lies and distortion. Violent games should be banned.
Cyber terrorism is a growing problem today. It is as if the Leaders of the World think that they are playing a new online game.

Frankly, I think that we need a period of stability.
How we arrive at this halcyon state, I do not quite know.
Does Anyone know anymore ?

In China and Japan for example, they revere and treat with care their elderly citizens.
In Britain, in many instances, we turn a blind eye.
Our care policies are outdated, if not cruel.
There is a stagnation in creating remedies for lack of staff for the NHS.
We need to treat the problem from Bottom up strategy rather than Top down for the NHS. By this I mean create more Schools of Medicine across the country. Lower the level of marks at A Level from 3 A grades to 3 B Grades and even 3 C Grades. Make year 2 at A level a first year of training for Doctor training entry. Make Nursing Degrees 2 years at University ( year 1 at A level in school. )
We need Preventative Healthcare rather than costly Remedial Healthcare. More Leisure Centres offering Keep Fit, Table Tennis, Short Tennis, Swimming and other facilities for the 50 Plus generations. Wycombe 50 Plus Club is a good example.
We need cheaper medicines and not rip off pricing from the Drug companies.
We need to stop Consultants charging £ Thousands for operations.

House inflation has been so cruel to people who do not own a property. We need a new  National Building network supported by no VAT on building materials, low corporation tax, say 5%. Most of all we need creative low cost designs for houses, built on brown sites, land on some large estates, yes and even some land from the National Trust, More Brown site land and even some Green Belt That no one uses. Vast Lands inherited from King William 1 days should be used for building low cost
 Eco Villages. No of these High Rise blocks of apartments in inner Cities.
After WW2 the Government built thousands of “ Prefabs.”
A modern day version of the easy to erect Prefab could be designed. It can be done. Modernise the Planning Laws.


There is a lot Britain can do, but will " they"  ?

I find the grotesque levels of Payments by the BBC to so called
“ Celebrities “ at levels such as £500,000 - £2,000,000 per annum  is disgraceful. At the same time the BBC want to rob Pensioners over 75 of their free TV Licence. I do not want to watch BBC anymore, so why pay a TV Licence ? If these money gluttons do not like working a few hours a week for say £100,000 per annum, let them go. There will be many who can take their place.

I am also worried about “Snap Wars.” By that I mean, to hurry into a violent conflict with Iran or North Korea. A first strike mentality.
Was it worth some 15 Million plus men dying in WW1 just because the Austrian Archduke was assassinated ?
Was it worth 10 Million plus men and women being killed in WW2 because Germany invaded Poland?
Was it worth 200 Plus men dying in the Falklands when with patience the Argentinians might have withdrawn with a compromise sharing of future assets in the area ?
Are Treaties that say...." An attack on one is an attack on all." Is this a Treaty which will deter or a recipe for Global Wars with millions of  deaths ?

We must try harder to find Non violent solutions, however long they take.
I find the current wave of anti Donald Trump criticisms very worrying. He does not deserve the hateful words that are posted on Social Media.
This is all part of the mixed up feelings of people all over the World. Perhaps they have become so frustrated by their lifestyle that they want to lash out.
I think that there is a lot of realism about this view of life.
It is taking too long to make the lives of most citizens better.
There is too great a gap between rich and not so well off

Where have manners and courtesy gone today. Young  drivers cut you up on the road. Many exceed the speed limits.
Our town centres are fearful places when one sees crowds of young people making fun of passers by. Knife crime is copied all over the country. House crimes are rarely solved.
In our schools teachers are attacked or ignored in the classroom.

In WW2 58,000 young men average age of 22 years volunteered for Bomber Command and were killed in action.
They had character, a deep sense of what is right and what is wrong. How times have changed for the worse.

Schools should emphasise “Manners .” Does anyone remember what Manners are and should be at home and in the Community. Do Parents care anymore ? YES the majority do. But, a growing number do not.

The ABBA singers used to sing.... “ Money Money Money.”
Is Life about more than Money ? Too many rich people crave Money Money Money.

Now, we are about to start the Third Decade of the 21st Century. What will be the future for my Grandchildren ?
Better than the first Decade of the 21st Century I hope.

However, we need a new look at our Lifestyle and
Political attitudes.

My daughter for a present named a Star after my company EUREKYS.

Perhaps I will go there and start again.....one day.......!

FOOTBALLER INCOME 2019

So,Harry McQuire, The Leicester City Defender is to join Manchester United for £190,000 per week.
Now, for taxation purposes, Harry should be paying tax of 40% less allowances ......about £60,000 give or take a thousand or two.
But, will he be paying that amount of tax ?
I wonder !
The chances are that some high earning Footballers might form a Limited Company, in some offshore country. They will pay a minute amount of tax, if any.
What will the UK HMCR do about it ?
Nothing. They are acting within the Law.
Rooney and many more high earnings might use this loop hold to stack away £Millions.
Not only in the U.K. are some of them  doing it but in many countries across the World.
For the rest of us, it is pay up or be prosecuted.
Is a Footballer really worth such grotesque amounts playing 90 minutes of football on a Saturday afternoon ? No.

Is the system fair ? No.
In the future, if you are a British Citizen and hold a British Passport, you should pay UK taxes, wherever you live in the World.
This Tax Policy should apply to everyone such as Entertainers and other High Earners.
An ordinary worker might earn £25,000 a year working 5 days a week 9 to 5 hours daily plus travelling time and cost.
If he or she owns a house, they must pay local taxes sometimes about £2,500.

Are we a fair Society ?

NEW GUN LAWS FOR THE USA

I have written some years ago about a solution to the carnage in the USA that is currently being experienced.
No one took any notice. So, I will try again.

The Rifle Club of America fight hard to let citizens to bear arms.
Yes, they can bear arms.....a Rifle. Not a machine gum, not a modern Rifle shooting hundreds of high powered rounds in seconds.
Not rocket launchers. Not any 21st Century weapon of War.
So, here is my solution again....

1 - Only people accredited in a Licensed Rifle Club can buy a Hunting Rifle which fires one bullet at a time.

2 - All other weapons are banned with a mandatory 10 years jail sentence if any shop, website or individual breaks the new gun laws.

3 - Any applicant for even a Hunting Rifle must produce a Certificate from their Doctor confirming that they are of sound mind.

4 - The Manufacturers of weapons are to be closely checked.

5 - Websites offering weapons other than hunting rifles are banned.
There will be severe fines for any website failing the law.
Facebook and other social media will be closely watched.

6 - Individual citizens can bear arms but only one handgun with 6 bullets for thief own protection.
The individual must apply for gun, with Certificate from their Doctor that they are of sound mind.

7 - No one under 25 can buy a gun of any kind.

8 - Shops selling hand guns - not rapid fire ones are to be registered and monitored.

9 - The RCA - Rifle Club of America - will not like the new gun law.However, their only objection is quoting the Constitution.
My solution gives them the right to bear arms but not weapons of war.

10 - The Founding Father never imagined that in the future , citizens could walk into a shop and buy a fast firing machine gun for their use without any medical checks.
The Founding Fathers never imagined that the USA would have a population of well over 200 Millions, mixed races,
with a range of Political views, International terrorism, home grown violence, drugs, massive immigration, aeroplanes, cars, Social Media, Internet, Television, global wars and so on.
A completely different World to that of the 18th Century.
The 18th Century American Constitution envisaged The Citizens needs to protect themselves from hostile Indian Tribes and their use for hunting.

THE COST OF CARE - HOW DO CARE HOMES CHARGE SO MUCH ?

It is about time that the General Public gets to know why it costs some £50,000 per year to stay in a Care Home.
Has anyone seen the Financial Accounts of Care Homes ?
Does the Government know the breakdown of costs and profits ?

Consider this scenario.......

Care Home x has some 20 or more people in the care home.
Most own homes so they pay £50,000 per year.
The Local authority pays for 5 people.
So, 15 people pay £750,000 for their care in a year.
The other 5 pay via the Local Authority £250,000.
Total revenuer is £1,000,000.

What do the residents get for this money ?

They get a small room with bed.
They get on average 3 meals per day that does not cost much.
They have access to a Common Room with television.
In this Day Room there are patients with Memory loss staring into space. A very depressing atmosphere  for the other patients.

The Care Home has overhead costs - how much ?
The Care Home pays for the upkeep of the Care Home.
The Care Home pays for the wages of the Carers - mostly untrained.
Is the Care Home making a fair profit ?

Some thoughts to be verified .......

Does the Care Home pay VAT on anything ? If they do, the Government should make them VAT free.
Carers should be TAX Free.
This may help reduce costs.

No one should have to pay towards their Care in old age. I prefer the early NHS slogan -- Care From Cradle to the Grave.
The Government created some £400 Billions to save the Banks during the Financial Crisis which most British People did nothing towards the crisis.
Government should create some more money to subsidise Care Costs in old age.
We subsidise the Young with Free Schooling costs. Why not do the same for Pensioners who have paid taxes for 40 - 60 years in their Lifespan ?

I wish the Government should radically change their  attitude to Care Home Costs.
They need to change policy for taxation of Care Homes.
They need to check operating costs and profitability.
They need to be radical and futuristic.
They need to help the Care Homes and The Carers.

The Government promised to put a ceiling on total care costs of £72,000.
This promise has been postponed. What a disgrace.

Most of all, they should remove the fear from the Pensioners about this dreadful charge on their Care.
They cannot help being ill.
Let us treat them with kindness.

DEALING WITH GRIEF

I have had my fair share of GRIEF.

My Father died when I was 6.
My Wife died when I was 43.
My son died when I was 62.
My Mother died when I was 68.

We all treat grief in our own special way. For some people, they never recover from grieving. They spend the rest of their lives in a vegetable state of Grief. What a pity !

Here is my motto about dealing with Grief -

“ It is natural for one to Grieve BUT do not let Grief swallow you up in a sea of Sorrow. “

In other words, remember that your loved one would not want you to live the rest of your life grieving. Do not let Grief destroy you or your Family.

Remember the past but look to the future.

REMOVAL OF FREE TV LICENCES.

We need some answers.......

Is it right that the BBC can force people to watch BBC TV Programmes by paying the Annual TV Licence to help fund BBC Programmes ?

Is it right that the BBC can deny the Viewer the right to watch ITV, SKY and other Programmes if they do not pay the BBC Annual TV Licence ?

Is the BBC breaking Competition Laws by Restrictive Practices ?

Is the Government right to remove the BBC subsidy to pay for Free TV Licence for the 75 years plus Pensioners who are not already on Pensions credits ?

Is it time for the BBC to have limited TV Advertising to pay for the very high salaries for the BBC Staff and Performers ?

Let us get a new Review of the BBC New Prime Minister.

In the meantime, Government, Stop the BBC from withdrawing the Free TV Licence from 75 plus Pensioners in 2020. If you do not do this, you will loose the Votes of Millions of Pensioners and their Families. This will put the Final Nail in the Conservative Party in Power.
I am a Lifetime supporter of The Conservative Party. I do not wish the Party to lose a General Election.

Well done Boris - New Prime Minister of Great Britain.

Now - get us out of the EU and start making the lives of ALL British Citizens better.

Good luck and remember that whatever you do, you will not please everyone - remember the Remainers want PROSPERITY as well and the Leavers.

The Government have decided to take away its subsidy to he BBC for Free Licences for over 75s year old Pensioners.
The BBC have decided to take away Free Licences for the over 75 years old Pensioners except those who receive subsidies.
What a terrible decision.

I am one of the Pensioners who will be affected.

Now, next year I do not want to view BBC Programmes.
I want my human right of FREE Choice.
I have ITV and SKY.

I do not want to be forced to view the BBC, who pay £Millions to some Performers. When they pay many salaries over £200,000 and who lavishly pay £ Millions on expenses.
Who screen lots of boring shows - Games Shows every afternoon.

Stop watching BBC. Enjoy seeing BBC ratings fall.

Write to your local MP and complain

Threaten to not vote Conservative in the nest election. Farage and Pensioners will defeat the Conservatives.

Write to the Press.

March for the Pensioners up and down the Country.

Good luck to every decent Pensioner, who most are still paying National Taxes out of their  Company Pensions and some paying over £2,000 per annum in local taxes.

BREXIT THE NEXT PROPOSAL

For the past 3 years since the 2016 Referendum, the UK have been outwitted by the EU. The endless meetings and false promises have resulted in no deal so far.
Why is this ? Because the UK and EU have been discussing the wrong  Agenda the wrong way round with the wrong priorities. They should have agreed a mutually acceptable Trade Deal first followed by the other topics.

For 3 years, the two sides have not agreed a Trade Deal.

Here is my next step Proposal -

Temporary withdraw Article 50 until such time that the EU agree a new Trade Deal which will ensure prosperity for both sides.

In a future Free Trade Deal The UK will make its own deals with the world but the UK will adopt EU conditions for Trade between the UK and EU - The European Trading Area ( ETA ).

Article 50 will be reinstated once the whole package has been agreed. A time limit of 1 year to reach agreement.

Once this Trade Deal has been agreed, all the other deals in Part 1 - The May Deal - except no need for an Irish Backstop will be included in the Final Withdrawal Agreement.

Brexit Party to be involved in negotiations.

We cannot go around in circles. There must be a consensus approach for the future.

If this new approach fails, a General Election looms.

The attempt announced today 29 May 2019 to have a Court of Law to convict Boris Johnson of a criminal act by misleading the Public with the Leavers Bus Promotion during the 2016 Referendum Campaign stating smells of DIRTY TRICKS POLITICS.
The Campaign Bus States.....

“ We pay£350 Million per week to the EU
Let us fund our NHS instead.”

This is correct. Once we leave the EU, the UK will pay £350 Million per week into the NHS.

No say the opposition Remainers - We get a rebate and the EU also fund certain projects in the UK. This is not £350 Millions per week. This is the basis of the criminal charge against Boris Johnson ! A clear attempt to stop Boris from becoming Prime Minister.

But, the Leavers PR Campaign was not claiming this.
It was stating clearly and boldly, We will pay into the NHS....
£350 Millions per week if we leave the EU. Yes, the money which we will no longer be paid to the EU, will be topped up to £350 Millions per week, out of the UK Annual Budget. A wonderful commitment of the Conservative by the Conservative Government.
The slogan was designed to make people stop and think.
It did just that.
Yes, rather than pay into the EU, prioritise that money for the NHS and Yes, top the budget up to £350 Millions per week.
Everyone knows that the NHS needs more money to pay for a First Class Service of the future.

By stating the £350 Millions per week into the EU Budget before rebates, it is making the point that it is better to use monies paid into the EU budget on our NHS.
Most sane people would agree with this.

During the Referendum in 2016, this topic was debated endlessly on TV, Radio, Meetings, Parliament. Why didn’t anyone try to sue Boris Johnson back in 2016 ? I wonder !

Is it not a coincidence that this question of a criminal charge against Boris Johnson should appear, after 3 years, just prior to the Election of a new Conservative Prime Minister and who is a Leaver, a Brexiteer ?
Boris was not the only one promoting the Bus Theme.
What about the millions of people throughout the UK echoing this theme. What about all the other Politicians in Parliament.
Are they quilty as well l ? NO NO NO.

We, the ordinary voters are in the midst of Dirty Tricks Politics.
Similar mud slinging in the USA as well.
Who do you believe any more ?

I sincerely hope that Boris wins his Court Battle.
If he should lose, the next dirty tricks step, will be an appeal to claim that the 2016 Referendum is “ Nul and Void .”
They will claim a new Referendum. They will use as much mud and twists of the truth to change the 2016 verdict.

BREXIT - UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS

Since the result of the 2016 Referendum, the People and Government of the UK have set unrealistic expectations for Brexit. The main theme in the UK has been .....The People have voted to leave but retain all the benefits of Membership of the EU. The EU said in 2016, We will not compromise with our Red Lines. If you leave the Club, you cannot expect to retain all the benefits of the Club.
No one thought about the Irish Border Problem.
Parliament are in a shambles.
Teresa May has tried her best to get an Agreement. It is clear that the EU will not change radically the Withdrawal Agreement - even if there is an extension of the Leave date.
We go around and around in never ending circles, brick wall after brick wall.

Reality meant that British Negotiators should have ..
Repeated from Day 1 that the only practical conclusions were .........-
A balanced Plan which respects the wishes of both the 17.4 Millions Leavers AND 16 Millions Remainers and respect for the Principles of the EU.
Compromise is the only solution. So, what should Compromise look like ?

The UK should remain in the Common Trading Market UNTIL a new Free Trade Agreement is established.
If any future agreement involves a Hard Border in Ireland this would take matters back to a no agreement.
I am disappointed that after 3 years negotiations with the EU, we have no Trading Agreement which does not involve a Hard Border in Ireland.

No Divorce Bill should be paid until a mutually agreed Trading Agreement is established.

A No Deal result should not be considered.

The EU should compromise by continuing the status quo on Trade, until a final deal is agreed.

UK Trade with the EU should obey EU rules for Goods and Services into the EU but, the EU should obey UK rules for EU goods and services into the UK.

All other features of the May Plan should remain the same.

If all this fails, I am afraid that both the UK and the EU will have to face up to about 3 years of mutual hardship before reality kicks in.

A CRUISE WITH THE OBESE

I am writing this article cruising from The Caribbean to The River Amazon Brazil.
Cruising is big business these days and it is a growth market.
As we cruise towards the River Amazon, it gives me the opportunity to observe my fellow passengers.

Here are my observational comments -

Most of the passengers are from the age groups 50,60,70,80.
There are no young people and no children.

I estimate that 50% of the women are obese with a large proportion morbid obese.
The women have large waistlines - perhaps about 45 BMI.
They have huge hips, huge bottoms, large arms and legs.
They shuffle along, many with walking sticks.
Some look like Beatles with round bodies and small legs.
They look awful.

The men are about 40% obese. They look similar to the women with big pot bellies, large posteriors, BMI over 40,
thick legs and they too look awful.

How did these people allow themselves to get like this ?

No wonder, the NHS have to cope with Diabetes, Heart attacks, just to name a few examples of illnesses directly related to obesity.

Let us face up to a truth about these Men and Women.
They could not care less.
They have lost their pride in their appearance. They do not exercise. They eat too much. They stuff themselves with the wrong foods and drinks.
We must stop trying to feel sorry for these gluttons, for that is what they are. They need to be shamed !
Yes, I accept that we live in a free speech era and free will.
However, these gluttons are causing the NHS massive problems and costing Society £Millions.

Free Healthcare should be conditional on Individual Health Reviews where people who are Obese must show signs of improvement over a set timetable.
They will be given a Dietary Programme to follow.
They will be given counselling. They will be given encouragement.
But, they must be told that they cannot continue to remain so unhealthy with excessive BMI.

This Policy might work bu t what else can we do to reduce the high levels of obesity in Society ?
For years we have tried encouragement. Perhaps now we need to try another approach to deal with these obese people.
